Editorial and Peer Review Process

Initial Screening

Each submission is screened for scope, originality, and ethical compliance by the Editor-in-Chief or designated editor.

Peer Review

Two or more qualified reviewers evaluate the manuscript anonymously using a double-blind system.

Decision Making

Decisions (accept, minor revision, major revision, or reject) are based on scientific merit, clarity, methodological rigor, and ethical integrity.

Final Decision

The Editor-in-Chief makes the final publication decision based on reviewer feedback and journal standards.

Initial decision: 3–6 weeks
Final decision (post-revision): 7–12 weeks

All submissions are screened using iThenticate or CrossCheck. Manuscripts exceeding a 15% similarity index (excluding references) are returned for revision or may be rejected.

Article Withdrawal and Retraction Policy

Articles may be withdrawn or retracted for ethical breaches, duplication, or serious errors. Retractions will be clearly marked with a notice explaining the reason and linked to the article's DOI.

Indexing and Archiving

PIRJ content is indexed and archived in Google Scholar, CrossRef (DOI Assignment), LOCKSS/CLOCKSS, and OAI-PMH. Future targets: DOAJ, Scopus, Web of Science ESCI.

Privacy Statement

User data (names, emails, affiliations) is used exclusively for scholarly purposes and not shared with third parties for commercial use. PIRJ complies with applicable data protection standards, including GDPR where relevant.
